Student Population

Washington Elementary School hosts grades PreSchool through 5th Grade in the Santa Ana Unified School District, and is attended by approximately 600 students. There are 30 certificated classroom teachers. The student population is 94% Hispanic, 66% of the students are designated as English Learners (EL) , and all of our students receive free or reduced breakfast or lunch.Washington School’s staff believes that the families are a tremendous resource to their child’s learning and that with access to appropriate print materials and inclusion in school literacy activities, including technology, students will reach a high level of academic success and become lifelong learners
